Traditionally, Ajrak is the name of a block printed cloth with dark maroon and blue background, consisting of geometric mostly floral patterns with enclose non-printed  white spaces.  Ajrak is not just a fabric, it is the symbol of ancient Indus Civilization (2500 BC -1500) and modern day Sindh, Pakistan.  Therefore, is found most often in daily usage items from bed sheets to dupattas and as even gifts or souvenirs. Ajrak printing is a lengthy procedure that includes several steps of printing and washing the fabric many times with various natural dyes. The method of resist printing is used that allows selective absorption of a dye in the desired areas only and prevents absorption on the areas intended to be left uncolored. The word Sussi or susi (Soosey, Sousae) is used for multicolored striped or checked cloth produced exclusively in Hala, a small city in Sindh, Pakistan. Sussi is a thin hand loom fabric made of cotton, silk, or a blend of the two, with colored warp stripes. It is an old craft too which is transferred from generation to generation in subcontinent.  Punjab region was known for its production and exports during the Mughal period. The fabric was exported to England, where sousaes were in great demand in the 18th century. Sussi is mostly made with red and blue, blue and white, or green and white stripes, but other patterns are also produced. The Susi fabric is famous for its shine, colorful texture and best quality. The Susi dresses don`t need any further embellishment to enhance its grace as its fineness and exquisite texture gives the wearer a royal look.
